Hard Truth Distilling Company is the largest destination craft distillery in Indiana, set on a 325-acre, wooded campus featuring the Hard Truth distillery and rackhouse, a large restaurant, a tours and tastings center, and an expansive terraced outdoor recreational area with a stage, yard games, and more. Throughout the year, guests can enjoy walking and ATV tours, leisurely strolls around the pond, hearty meals, fantastic craft beer and spirits, live music, special events, and festivals.

The Hard Truth Distillery campus and Big Woods Restaurant Group is looking to hire a Public Events Manager.


  • Manage, set up, run, and implement all public events at Hard Truth Distillery and other Big Woods locations when needed.
  • Coordinate with marketing and operations team on the planning, development, and overall management of upcoming public events. Assist in implementing yearly events and planning new events that will continue to grow the brand and customer experience.
  • Work with in a planned budget. Track, plan, and adjust budgeted materials as needed.
  • Accept applications from bands and music groups. Set up, organize, and manage the bands. Assure that the schedule is maintained, bands are paid, and all set up requirements are met.
  • Plan and implement all races, games, and themed events.
  • Coordinate with the Manager of Merchandise and utilize other outlets for giveaways, shirts, or any other merchandise that should be present for events.
  • Answer any questions for customers before, during, and after events.
  • Set up, break down, and over all management of all public events.
    Other tasks when assigned.

  • 3+ years of public events management.
  • Ability to multitask with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, staff, and other departments throughout the company.
  • Great organization skills regarding planning, budgeting, and overall events management.
  • Weekend availability required.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
