Tarpon Springs Distillery’s award-winning spirits are produced from scratch right on our premises. Whether it’s malted grains grown from heritage seeds or gin botanicals lovingly grown in our garden, using the highest quality ingredients to make smooth and flavorful spirits is always our focus.

Enjoy a tour of our distillery and learn how we make ultra-small batch artisanal spirits in our renovated historic sponge warehouse, the former Stephen Katzaras Sponge Company. You’ll see our stills, Amazing Grace and RD2D, hear the story behind their names, and taste our delicious spirits in our tasting room. Tour/tastings are complimentary and they run every half hour, or by appointment here. Booking in advance is recommended.
Tarpon Springs Distillery Spirits
Papou’s® Ouzo is our award-winning spirit that has the distinctive flavors of aniseed and fennel along with warm spices: cinnamon, cloves, coriander and orange zest. This smooth, refreshing spirit is great as an aperitif with grilled seafood and nibbles. Since this Ouzo is made in the traditional Greek style, and is not a syrupy liqueur, it’s surprisingly delicious in mojitos and tropical cocktails.
Anclote® Gin is a silky smooth distilled gin made with premium malted grains, juniper, coriander, black peppercorns, and the zest of lemons, limes and grapefruits. It tastes great as a sipping gin, and with the spice and citrus notes, it’s the perfect partner in a Bloody Mary (a “Red Snapper” when made with gin), or in your favorite martini.
Anclote® David Douglas Gin is a distilled gin named for the botanist who discovered the Douglas Fir. It starts with a mash of rye, pecan-smoked barley, and sweet corn, and adds juniper, Douglas Fir needles, rosemary, and coriander. The result is aromatic and bold. It is delicious with just a squeeze of lime and makes a gin and tonic like no other!
Anclote® Hot & Dirty Gin (Some like it hot…and dirty) is distilled with juniper, coriander, green olives, and a proprietary blend of peppers including Florida bird peppers. This flavor-forward gin in basically a dirty martini in a bottle, shaken, or stirred.
Claresso® is a unique spirit made by distilling premium malted grains with Cuban-style espresso. Claresso has a coffee nose and toffee/chocolate finish. This incredibly smooth spirit is great on the rocks, in dessert cocktails or after dinner coffee drinks and makes the most amazing espresso martini!
Gramling Woods® Moonshine’s award winning secret comes from its malted grain which delivers a bold and smooth finish. Malted corn, malted rye, and malted barley are fermented with sugar and distilled in our 500-gallon pot still. This unique approach results in a premium moonshine for the educated palate.
Gramling Woods® Oaked Moonshine is made by conditioning Gramling Woods High Rye Moonshine with charred oak. This remarkably smooth and flavorful spirit is great neat, on the rocks or in your favorite cocktail. Tasting notes: Vanilla nose, corn-forward flavor, slightly smoky with spicy rye highlights and a lingering caramel finish.
Stephen Katzaras came to Tarpon Springs at age 17 from Symi, Greece. He served his new country with honor, established the Stephen Katzaras Sponge Company and ran it for 6 decades, and lovingly gave back to the community that had given him a home.
