    Chris Morris knows whiskey. As the second Master Distiller at the Woodford Reserve Distillery, Chris was an integral character in the development of Woodford Reserve. As head Master Distiller of one of the world’s fastest growing bourbons, he spends his days innovating and planning future releases.

    The mastermind behind Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, Rye, and Master’s Collection, Chris knows the keys to making good whiskey are time and patience, but having a sense of good craftsmanship is also a talent that goes a long way.

    Quit and her husband, Chris, bought the Holly Hill Inn in 2000 and opened the fine dining restaurant in May 2001. Ouita’s use of locally sourced foods both helps sustain Bluegrass family farms and provides her customers only the freshest, best-tasting fine cuisine.

    The devotion to local foods is evident also at Wallace Station Deli just outside Midway; Windy Corner Market and Restaurant, and Smithtown Seafood, both in Lexington; The Midway Bakery, Midway; and Woodford Reserve Distillery outside Versailles, Ky., where Ouita is chef-in-residence and operates Glenn’s Creek Café and Glenn’s Creek Catering.

​Begin your evening with a progressive Woodford Bourbon Trail cocktail hour at the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark in Versailles, Kentucky. Follow the cocktail trail to experience Distiller’s Select, Double Oaked and Rye Bourbons, plus additional pairings.

The cocktail trail will lead to a true Kentucky Heritage Dinner, prepared by 5-times James Beard nominated Chef Ouita Michael. The cocktail trail and Heritage Dinner will include the opportunity to dine with our Master Distiller, Chris Morris while enjoying a multi-course Bourbon dinner.

Complimentary transportation for this event departs from the Marriott Louisville East at 6pm.
