MB Roland Distillery in Pembroke, Kentucky, has announced the launch of Old 2nd District Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, it’s second Bottled-in-Bond whiskey.
Before Prohibition, the copious amount of distilleries in Kentucky led to the creation of eight tax districts throughout the state. The second district represented Western Kentucky, home to MB Roland. As a pre-Prohibition style distillery, this product highlights our locally grown grains, pot distillation, and wood fired barrels charred over natural white oak fires.
“We are excited to add another Bottled in Bond bourbon to our portfolio and to continue to grow Western Kentucky’s bourbon footprint,” said Paul Tomaszewski, President and Co-Founder of MB Roland Distillery.

Old 2nd District Tasting Notes
The flavor profile is bold, yet approachable, including unique notes of dates, figs, and raisins with a pinch of cinnamon. The mouthfeel is silky and full bodied. Nosing gives a hint to the flavor, with honey and candied apples prominent.
Old 2nd District is currently available in the gift shop and soon to be distributed to multiple states, and online.
Founded in 2009 by Paul and Merry Beth Tomaszewski, MB Roland Distillery is one of Kentucky’s first grain to glass craft distilleries. The duo focuses on creating premium bourbon and whiskey, sourcing all the grains used in their mash bills directly from local farmers.
