TTB Permits Online

If you are a DSP – Distilled Spirits Plant, the TTB – Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, wants to give you an opportunity to have your voice heard. The TTB wants to make approvals for your distilled spirits as simple as possible. They are looking for volunteers to give feedback on COLAs – Certificate of Label Approval, Online and Permits Online.

The TTB Wants to Hear from DSPs

Here is what the TTB says they are looking for.

Who: We’re looking for people who have (or will soon have) submitted either label application(s) using COLAs Online or permit/registration/notice application(s) on Permits Online.
What: You will be asked to do some typical tasks (no preparation needed!) and answer some questions.
Where: You will be at your own computer, sharing your screen and speaking on the phone with a researcher during a one-on-one, 1 to 1½ -hour research and feedback session.
When: Sessions will take place in mid to late-October.
Confidentiality: Data we collect will not be shared outside TTB.

Interested in volunteering? If so, please email us at ttbusability@ttb.gov and tell us:

  • COLAs Online or Permits Online. Tell us which study you would like to participate in.
  • Contact Info. The best phone number to contact you during the day.
  • The approximate number of label application(s) and/or permit/registration/notice application(s) that you have ever submitted.
  • Your commodity. If you work with malt beverages, wine, distilled spirits, or a combination of them.

We will contact those expressing interest and ask you some additional questions to determine study eligibility.

We are looking for a limited number of people, so please contact us early to have your voice heard!

Here’s your opportunity to have your voice heard.
