Bourbon on the Banks Festival is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit entity. Revenue from ticket sales for the main event will fund Kentucky State University student scholarships. Attendees to the event will learn about bourbon from nationally recognized master distillers, bourbon educators, and authors and watch chef demonstrations while sampling their innovative creations (a foodies’ delight), all while strolling the banks of the scenic Kentucky river in historic downtown Frankfort.

In addition to all the great bourbon and cocktail samplings from regional and national distilleries, the festival will offer tastings from regional craft beer producers and world wineries; food pairing from award winning chefs; and live music and entertainment.

A free community event “Bourbon Street on Broadway” in downtown Frankfort will be held Friday, August 23rd on the Old Capital Lawn. This event will feature street performers, historians discussing African Americans’ contribution to Bourbon heritage, the Neat documentary, area high school musicians, live music and 15-20 regional food and beverage vendors.
