The Old Crow Distillery, now known as Glenns Creek Distilling, was hit by fire on September 30, 2026. What were once Bonded Warehouses No. 106.H. and 106.K. were completely destroyed by the fire. The good news is that neither rickhouse has held bourbon for many years and there are no reports of injury from the massive blaze.
The video pays homage to the distillery and Old Crow Bourbon, that at one point was the top-selling bourbon in America. There is also dramatic drone footage of the fire and the day after the warehouses and a few surrounding buildings were destroyed.
As a bonus, we’ve also included a brief Q&A with Glenns Creek Distillery Owner and Head Distiller David Meier that we had a few weeks ago at this year’s Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, Kentucky. Not surprisingly, a lot of the discussion revolves around Dr. James C. Crow.
And, in a strange twist of fate, in recent visit to Versailles, Kentucky, over the last month I captured of photo of Dr. James C. Crows’ gravesite in the Versailles Cemetery. Serendipitous right?
