Casey Jones Distillery in Hopkinsville, Kentucky has announced the release of its second bourbon offering and its very first Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Casey Jones Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey officially reaches its maturity date on Friday the 13th and is scheduled for release on Saturday, November 21st at the distillery.
Casey Jones Distillery was founded in 2014 by husband and wife team Arlon “AJ” Casey Jones and Peg Hays. The distillery is best known for its multiple moonshine offerings all made in the distilleries hand-made square direct fired copper still.
“Releasing our first Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is a major milestone for our distillery,” said Master Distiller and Co-Founder Jones. “Our family has a long-standing tradition that goes back two generations of making stills and moonshine. Releasing our first (legal) Kentucky Straight Bourbon starts another new era for our family.”
AJ says this single barrel, small batch bourbon has been aged in hand-charred white oak barrels and is bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV). The spirit is amber hued with golden highlights and a rich aroma. Tasting notes include butterscotch, toffee, dark fruits, smoky oak, and tobacco with a smooth, sweet, and medium-long finish.

Bottle Your Own Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon fans are invited to visit the distillery Saturday, November 21st from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST when Casey Jones Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey will be released. Free barbeque will be served from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The special release is offered at $34.99 for a 375ml bottle or $59.99 for a 750ml bottle. Buyers will have the opportunity to bottle, label, cap, and seal their own Casey Jones bourbon bottles. Each purchase includes an etched Casey Jones Distillery Glencairn glass and gift bag.
