If you love the copper mug but you don’t enjoy vodka so much try a Kentucky Mule. It’s a variation of the Moscow Mule which is a vodka drink, it’s vodka, lime juice and ginger beer. With the Kentucky Mule we’re basically just substituting American whisky for the vodka. Whisky and ginger is a classic pairing.

The Kentucky Mule is an easy to drink refreshing summer cocktail. Here’s what you’ll need to make it. And of course just like Moscow Mule, the Kentucky Mule is served in a copper mug.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • .5 oz Fresh lime juice
  • Ginger Beer
  • Garnish: Mint sprigs
  • Glass: Moscow Mule mug

Instructions

Add the bourbon and lime juice directly into a Moscow Mule mug or a highball glass. Fill the mug with ice and top with ginger beer. Add mint sprigs for garnish. A little pressure against the mint sprigs will help to release the bouquet.

Serves: 1

Enjoy!
