The Kentucky Derby is always the first Saturday in May but enjoying a Dark Horse Manhattan is right anytime of year. This slight variation on a traditional Manhattan from Michter’s Distillery is sure to help you pick the Dark Horse in any race.
Ingredients
2 oz Michter’s US*1 Bourbon
3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz Faretti Biscotti Liqueur
1 Espresso Shot
Ice
Instructions
- Add bourbon, sweet vermouth, faretti biscotti liqueur and espresso into cocktail shaker.
- Shake well.
- Strain shaker into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with coffee beans.
- Enjoy!
Variation: Spice things up by replacing bourbon with rye whiskey.
