‘I, Whiskey: The Spirit of the Market’ is the story of entrepreneurs, scientists, and bootleggers and the whiskey they produce—a spirit renowned for its individual expression and rich history. The I, Whiskey team just started a campaign on IndieGogo to raise $140,000 to produce their film. The group has already raised $60,000 on their own and now they are looking for help to make their idea a reality. They expect to release the completed project in the fall of 2016.

Making whiskey is the craft of rebels and scientists, the quest of criminals and statesmen, holy men and bootleggers. I, Whiskey is the story of forces that have shaped whiskey over centuries– the same forces that shape our civilization and forge the human spirit.

This is the second film in a series from CEI – Competitive Enterprise Institute. Their first film, I, Pencil has over 440k views on YouTube and has collected many industry awards. You can see the film in it’s entirety below.

I promise you this is more than just a story about a captivating beverage. I, Whiskey is the bigger, better story about the forces that shape whiskey throughout the centuries, the same forces that shape our civilization and forge the human spirit.
~ Lawson Bader, President of the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
