When it comes to Buffalo Trace Distillery there are a handful of words that often come to mind for whiskey fans. Some of those words include Pappy Van Winkle, Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, Bourbon, Rye and the most dreaded word — Allocated. After 10 years in the planning the distillery is wrapping up Phase II of their expansion plan and has officially doubled whiskey production.

Keep in mind, today’s new make whiskey will still take 4 to 23 years to fully mature but, there is a light at the end of the rickhouse!
