Tips from DISCUS Members on How to Practice Responsibility and How to Talk to Kids About Alcohol

 In Blog

Earlier this year at the inaugural Distilled Spirits Council of the United States – DISCUS event there were many conversations about encouraging responsible drinking, something everyone in the distilled spirits world should consider all the time.

Part of the organization’s mission is to teach the world about alcohol responsibility as part of a balanced lifestyle. The Associations efforts are shared through the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility – Responsibility.org. It leads the fight to eliminate drunk driving and underage drinking and promotes responsible decision-making regarding beverage alcohol.

Guests at the event were asked to fill out a card to answer “What Does Responsibility Mean to Me“? The results were handed over to graphic storyteller artist Nikki Kurt. Nikki has a special talent of taking text, often on complex topics, and converting it into a compelling graphic story. The results are included below in two amazing infographics.

And if you are curious how Nikki does her work watch this time lapse video as she takes the words from a card and creates art that both teaches and inspires.

Now take a few minutes to read through each of these infographics to inspire yourself on how to drink responsibly and how to talk to your kids about how to drink responsibly.

Just like a good cocktail these infographics are meant to be savored and shared, responsibly of course. So, please share these wonderful pieces of art with your co-workers, friends and family.
